Are your last two sentences babbling to fill 200 words?;]

Why does Alexie structure the story the way he does? What do these fragment pieces have in common and how are they organized around a single theme?

I don't think I agree that "ethnicity really doesn't matter that much now"...in fact, quite the opposite. How does Alexie use culture/ethnicity and expectations surrounding it as a device in this story? You have eloquent insights into the frustrations of lost heritage and coping mechanisms. What do you think the blankets symbolize?

Great description of Sylvia--she definitely has a harsh outer shell and feels defiant toward the world

Develop your blog thoughts a bit more...and looking back at the details of the text do you still think she is a static character? (PS practice using your literary terms, like "static" in your blog) ;]

It reminds me of TKM and Grab beacuse of the depth he read into some of the situations in the Great GAtsby, such as when Gatsby said he was from the mid west too, and Nick's asked where, Gatsby's repley was San Fransico. Nick's relpy to this was "Oh i see". Well in the articale the author tooks Nicks response of oh I see and made a huge deal about it. Insunating a lot of things but at the same time reading into that moment in diffrent ways. Thats why it reminded me of Grab. And my summer assignment is on my blog. I finished both of them by mid August. But to make it easier for you I just edited them so that they both have "summer assignment" in their titles. They are only a few post back.
